Blessed

Early this morning I finally got that call from Shaun I was waiting on it was so good to hear his voice and I talked his ear off for 25 mins.  I wish he was home already so I could just come home from work and tell him all about my day.  I have found comfort in my friends though it’s so nice to just pick of the phone and invite them over for frozen pizza and TV time.  Me and a couple of my friends have started doing dinner every Sunday night, we cook and watch TV and just enjoy the time with each other.  Being a military wife we are so often pulled away from our family and stationed at some base where we don’t know anyone, so when we find those few friends where we feel like we can be our selves we look at them like family.  I often wonder what I would do without the friends I have met since I moved here. I am truly blessed.

I am still waiting to hear from Shaun, I haven’t heard from him in like a week I know that’s not that long but still.  The worst part of not being able to talk to him is not being able to tell him about my day.  When we first started dating we were on our way to see a movie and I was just talking and talking and then I stopped and realized I had talked the entire 15 min drive to the movies and I looked at him and I said I talk a lot huh? And he said yeah but I like it and ever since then he has always been the best and just letting me talk about my day about what I did at school or what I did at work and when he’s not home I miss that time we have.  My dad always gets on my case about how I never let Shaun get a word in but I swear Shaun loves when I talk his ear off!! Lol  I guess that’s really what has been bothering me today that all I want to do is talk to my husband.

well it has been three months since the last one sorry!!

Well once again I have gone a while without blogging.  Where to start where to start?? We have been living in our home for about 3 months I have unpacked most of our stuff and have been doing lots of decorating.  We just recently got kitchen chairs after using camping chairs for three months it was about time lol thank goodness for ikea!  Bentley got attacked by a dog a week ago at the dog park thank goodness he didn’t need to get stitches but he was on antibiotics for a week and I had to clean the bite marks 2-3 times a day but he is doing much better.  Shaun is currently on a training exercise this is the first time we had been living together before him leaving so this time with him being gone is a lot different than when he went to afghan, I can’t wait till he’s home.  Yesterday Bentley saw a guy in cami’s walking down our street and he thought it was Shaun he started crying and shaking it was sad so naturally I cried my eyes out.  I just can’t wait till Shaun is home I decided that I am going to film Bentley’s reaction to Shaun because I know it’s going to be great! Well I guess that’s enough catch up I will be better about blogging I swear!! Have a good one all!!!

All moved in and ready to begin :)

Well it’s been a while since I have blogged and here is what has been going on lol.  We moved into our house just over a week ago wawhoo!! We are now living on base which I am so excited about.  It has two bedrooms and a back yard (Bentley loves the back yard).  We moved in the week I had finals at school so I am now just unpacking boxes. We just got couches we only went about 5 days without them needless to say I was pretty excited about getting them. The TV, Shaun’s pride and joy is all set up and connected to cable woot woot.  We are looking forward to beginning our life in our own home. I am just so excited well I guess that’s about it for right now.

Short but sweet ..

So Shaun and I will be moving into a house on base here in a couple of weeks so I’m super excited about that.  So in hopes that a new house would bring us other exciting stuff I just got a call for a job interview that I so desperately want (and need).  The month of December will be quite an adventure for me and Shaun and I’m just soo excited for it. 

First day as a blogger.. where to start..

My name is Kelley my husband is stationed at Camp Pendleton we have a wild dog as a pet that goes by the name Bentley.  Right now I am going to school full time and can’t wait till I have my degree.  My husband and I got married in September 2010 but spent the first 7 months apart while he was deployed to Afghanistan.  It was a tough transition, here I was living at home with my parents loving the free food, car, cell phone ect, when me and my fiancé decided hey let’s get married before the deployment… long story short the wedding was planned in two weeks and he deployed a month later.  I was left alone to take care of the finances and the dog.  The journey with the dog was an interesting one he was the worst puppy in the world at one point I wanted to open up my front door and let him run away but I couldn’t do that because Shaun was deployed and I can’t get rid of the dog while he’s deployed so I stuck it out.  Bentley ate everything at one point he had over 25 rocks in his tummy the vets called him a ticking time bomb but I couldn’t afford surgery so I just hoped for the best a week later he passed all of them.  then a few months down the road he was acting funny he looked sick so I just thought to myself well he must have ate something.. boy was I right he ate 3 socks.. I didn’t know until I saw them in his throw up but he was fine after that.  When Shaun deployed Bentley weighed 26lbs when Shaun got home he weighed 65lbs.. now he is 84lbs did I mention he thinks he’s a lap dog.  It was a crazy 7months just me and the dog I had very emotional days between getting bit by the puppy and missing my husband but I made it and Shaun came home in May 2011. Now we are together finally in the same country figuring out this whole married thing.  Bentley is a year and a half still crazy but I love him (sometimes).  I’m looking forward to what life has to offer and the many many days ahead of me and my husband and I hope you enjoy my bloggggg J
